In den 1960er Jahren beim Bau der Tegelbergbahn entdeckte, römische Ausgrabungsstätte
Bereits 1934 fand man erste Relikte eines römischen Gutshofs (Villa Rustica) am Fuße des Tegelberges. Doch erst 30 Jahre später wurde das komplette Ausmaß der Anlage deutlich. Zum Gutshof gehörten auch private Bäder, die etwa auf das 2. Jahrhundert nach Christus datiert werden können.
