Célèbre statue de la région, pas encore au stade de vestige archéologique mais déjà morceau de patrimoine et d’histoire locale, le fameux Pégase a été réalisé par la société des Forces de Joux (puis Compagnie vaudoise d’électricité, aujourd’hui Romande Energie) en 1959, afin d’incarner l’esprit de l’énergie hydraulique. L’oeuvre est signée André Lasserre, (1902-1981), sculpteur au parcours mouvementé qui a également laissé un plus discret “cygne” en aluminium au palais de Beaulieu à Lausanne.
