Quelques maisons isolées peuvent parfois trahir la présence d’un ancien bourg médiéval. C’est le cas au hameau de la Villette, qui dépendait autrefois du château de Sainte-Croix, tout proche. Ce petit habitat comportait également une chapelle, fondée en 1375 et consacrée à la Sainte-Croix. L’agglomération actuelle lui doit encore son nom. Progressivement abandonné, le bourg se résume aujourd’hui à quelques ruraux. Au sud, l’ancien cimetière, utilisé jusque dans les années 1950.
