Die Region Brugg ist nicht nur ein dynamischer Wohn- und Wirtschaftsraum, sondern auch ein abwechslungsreiches Freizeit-  und Erholungsgebiet mit reichem Kulturerbe. Hier gibt es neben der Industrie auch die Idylle und neben Autobahnen Natur pur: Stille Täler, Orchideen auf Jurawiesen, den Eisvogel an Steiufern, den Laubfrosch in Tümpeln und den in die Flüsse zurückgekehrten Biber.
Hier treffen die Flüsse Aare, Reuss und Limmat zusammen und bilden mit dem Wasserschloss eine einzigartige Flusslandschaft mit Auen von nationaler Bedeutung. Weiter sind die Ebenen des Birrfelds und des Villigerfelds, das Hochplateau des Bözbergs, die steilen Jurakämme und die sonnigen Rebberge eindrücklich und einen Besuch wert.

Vindonissa-Museum

Das Vindonissa-Museum, ein Gesamtkunstwerk im Sinne des Jugendstils wurde 1912 erbaut und im Jahre 2008 frisch renoviert. Die neue Dauerausstellung zeigt die spektakulärsten Funde aus über 100 Jahren Ausgrabungstätigkeit.Ähnlich der heutigen SMS wurden schon im römischen Legionslager und seiner Umgebung Schreibtäfelchen mit kurzen Nachrichten verschickt. Als Spezialität des Museums leiten diese Dokumente durch die neue Dauerausstellung und bieten einen einzigartigen Blick auf den Beginn des Lesens und Schreibens in unserer Region: Legionäre mussten Lesen und Schreiben können. Das Erdgeschoss präsentiert die Macht Roms und das Obergeschoss Schicksale von Menschen aus Vindonissa. Die thematisch aufgebaute Ausstellung und das ausgedruckte 3D-Modell erklären das Legionslagers der 11. Legion anschaulich und übersichtlich. Vindonissa, ein sinnliches Erlebnis, findet bei einem Römerapéro (auf Vorbestellung) einen krönenden Abschluss.
