A historical route from Ossegg in Bohemia to Meissen in Saxony. Around 1250, the Hrabischitz family built the giant castle in Bohemia. They also called themselves "Riesenburgers". In 1398, the Riesenburg was sold to Margrave Wilhelm I of Meissen. Due to the economic development and travel activities of his vassals, the path between the two places became a trade route, and at times also a pilgrimage route. Historians gave this path the name "Riesenburger Weg", among others. Hiking along the path is very interesting in terms of landscape and history, it is also known as the "Holy Path".
