Pilgrim trails in Vy \ u009Akov

The South Moravian Pilgrimage route begins at the Velehrad Monastery and then heads west parallel to the southern border of the Czech Republic, first along the border with Slovakia, then the border with Austria. In Český Krumlov, our route meets routes from the north of the Czech Republic, and these then continue together via Austria and Passau to Bavaria.

Der Südmährische Jakobsweg beginnt beim Kloster Velehrad  und führt dann Richtung Westen parallel zur  Südgrenze Tschechiens,  zuerst der Grenze mit der Slowakei, dann der Grenze mit Österreich. In Český Krumlov trifft unser Weg auf Wege aus dem Norden Tschechiens und diese führen dann gemeinsam via Österreich und Passau nach Bayern.

The route between the towns of Křtiny and Rousínov represents a journey through the Drahanská Highlands, especially the Říčky Nature Park.

The route leads through the pilgrimage site Lutršték to the town of Bučovice, where the Marian church and the Bučovice chateau with the chateau garden are located.

The route passes through the Ždánický forest, which is characterized by deep deciduous forests. Carpathian oak forests predominate here, and beech forests in the highest parts.
