The origin of pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela dates back to the 7th century and is connected to the tradition that James the Greater preached in Spain. With the revival of the Way of St. James in the Göllheim and Eisenberg municipal associations, a connection to the European network is established. As part of the monastery route from Worms to Metz, the Way of St. James in this section runs over a length of about 14 km from Göllheim to Eiswoog. It leads from the center of Göllheim via Kerzweiler and Rosenthalerhof to Stauf, from there continuing via Ramsen to Eiswoog. The Way of St. James is signposted with the shell motif and additionally, as is customary in Spain, with a yellow arrow.

Since August 2011, it has been continuously marked with yellow arrows and the so-called European shell as a guide. The Monastery Route starts in Worms and meets the northern route of the Palatine Jakobsweg at Geltersweg.
