Pilgrim trails in Lecco

Fascinating and panoramic, suspended between the mountains and the eastern shore of Lake Como. It then continues into Valtellina until reaching Morbegno. Ideal to hike in spring and autumn, walking along mule tracks and paths that follow the shores of Lario and the Orobie shore of lower Valtellina.

A 5-stage route starting from Sorico and ending in Lecco. The Sentiero del Viandante retraces an ancient mule track along the eastern shore of Lake Como (from Colico to Lecco), offering an alternative communication route to the lake and the Via Regina towards Valtellina and the alpine passes of Spluga, Settimo, and Julier.

First stage, inaugurated in spring 2021, of the famous Wayfarer’s Path.

From Lecco take the crossing towards Valsassina, signs for Maggio, Cremeno and then Cassina until you reach the Passo Culmine S. Pietro restaurant by car, with parking area. From here, take the trail that enters the woods for a short stretch and then exits onto a dirt road suitable for vehicles. After about 40 minutes you reach a fork: on the right there is a half-abandoned barrier. From here take the uphill trail and continue on flat terrain until you reach the cluster of huts of Muschiada where we find a sign indicating Monte Due Mani. On the right, a hairpin uphill detaches, which in a few minutes takes us to the Redondello pass, from which you continue to climb little by little. Monte Due Mani appears before us and on the summit the semispherical Locatelli bivouac is visible. Continue along the almost flat trail until you reach a three-way junction, where the signs point to the trail coming up from Morterone and the other from Maggio. We are near the ruined Cascina Pranüra. From here the path begins to become more challenging and the elevation gain increases as you enter the woods. Once at the signpost, turn right and follow the trail continuing uphill. At the end of the woods, the summit cross and the Bivouac are clearly visible. Continue along the final stretch with an elevation gain of 300 meters that leads us to the top of Monte Due Mani. Now we can enjoy the naturalistic panorama that opens all around us 360°.
