The Way of St. James is the ancient pilgrimage route to the supposed grave of St. James the Greater, one of Jesus' twelve apostles. The grave is located in Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain. The Way of St. James always begins wherever a pilgrim sets out. The pilgrimage route also passes through the Wilder Kaiser region and is marked with its own signs.

ATTENTION: New route from Sperten (St. Johann in Tirol). After a landowner prohibited passage, the path NO LONGER runs via the Roman road, but via Oberndorf and Rerobichl to Going. At Stanglwirt, it continues again on the existing path.
Alternatively, the signposted Moor&More Rocky Path can also be used - however, this involves some elevation gain.
