The „Via Rosina“ is a themed trail about the secret Protestant Rosina Steinauer. The start is in Mitterbach am Erlaufsee and it leads into the Scharten, connecting to the „Trail of the Book“.

From the only tolerance community of Lower Austria through a part of the Ötschergräben and over the Riffelsattel to Lackenhof.

The route of variant D leads the pilgrim in seven daily stages from Pöstlingberg in Linz to Mariazell. From St. Florian we go on pilgrimage to the town of Haag and the Sonntagberg. In Waidhofen an der Ybbs, the trail meets the original course of the Mariazell Trail and follows its route from then on.

A mystical pilgrimage church in the middle of the forest, the picturesque Lake Lunz and small, sleepy villages await us on this beautiful fifth stage of the Mariazell Pilgrimage Trail.

This suggested route takes you via the most beautiful pilgrimage destinations in the Mostviertel region - Seitenstetten Abbey, Sonntagberg and St. Leonhard im Wald - to Ybbsitz and on along the original route to Mariazell, which you reach after seven stages and 156 kilometers. The highest daily distance is 31.9 kilometers.

Sporty pilgrims in good physical condition can complete the original route of the Mariazellerweg in seven stages. In total, we cover a distance of 172 kilometers, with a maximum daily distance of 31.9 kilometers.
