Pilgrim walks in Burdignes

The Via Gebennensis is the continuation of the Swiss Way of St. James and runs from Geneva to Le Puy-en-Velay.

The Via Gebennensis connects the Swiss pilgrimage routes from Geneva with the Via Podiensis, which begins in Le Puy-en-Velay and continues westward to the Pyrenees.

A long hike that ended up being an unsuccessful search for a place to stay; it actually totaled 27 km, though Outdooractive simply stopped tracking at one point (the entire hike is shown in a single image from Komoot)

A really beautiful hike with few roads and plenty of woods

Der Ruhetag hat gut getan. Es läuft wieder. Die Landschaft hat sich total verändert. Die Alpen sind hinter den Hügeln verschwunden und es ist wesentlich kühler als in der Ebene. Der härteste Teil liegt hinter uns. Wir treffen noch mehr nette Pilger aus Deutschland und bilden bis Le Puy ein loses Grüppchen

Die Via Gebennensis verbindet die schweizerischen Jakobswege ab Genf mit der Via Podiensis, die in Le Puy-en-Velay beginnt und von dort aus westwärts zu den Pyrenäen führt.
