From Biasca, the route mostly follows the Ticino to Personico. Afterwards, the highway is a constant companion until shortly before Giornico. Visiting the Romanesque churches San Pietro e Paolo in Biasca and San Nicola in Giornico somewhat compensates for this dull route.
