Indoor Activities
Exhibition Mines
There is only one show cave in the entire Vogtland region – and that's precisely what makes it so special: Anyone who descends here experiences a true natural wonder underground, one that amazes young and old alike. With helmets on and curiosity in tow, visitors can also descend into one of the former mines. In old tunnels, children discover how miners used to work and extract treasures from the earth.

Kultur, Handwerk & Tradition erleben
Craftsmanship & Tradition
Traditions are what make a region unique – they tell stories of the past, of life, work, and the skills of its people. In the Vogtland region, many of these old crafts are still alive. They are cherished, demonstrated, and passed on to the next generation – not just in museums behind glass, but through hands-on experience, touch, and participation. Families immerse themselves in the past and take knowledge with them for the future. These encounters are especially valuable for children: when they see how a figure is turned from a piece of wood, how lace is embroidered, or how musical instruments are crafted, their understanding of materials, patience, and craftsmanship grows. And perhaps a spark of enthusiasm is ignited – for history, for creativity, for what endures.
Time travel for little explorers
Mighty walls, mysterious towers, and exciting stories – many castles and palaces in the Vogtland region invite families to immerse themselves in bygone eras. Whether it's knightly games, fairy tales, wildlife, or treasure hunts: here, history comes alive and becomes an experience for young and old alike.
