We will discover the richness of the Taiga forest, a precious ecosystem during the “Taiga snowshoes tracking and wolverine hut" program.

The Finnish-Russian border zone area with vast wilderness gives the chance to see and photograph the majestic large carnivores of Finland, Brown Bear, Wolf, Wolverine as well as Golden and White tale eagles from one spot. Taking part to a guided overnight tour to the photo hides during the light summer night allows you to see the true kings of taiga forests. It is almost impossible to see these shy, nocturnal creatures while hiking or canoeing in the same forests  during your daytime activities.

Spend unforgettable night in a predator hide of Boreal Wildlife Centre. From the hide is possible to see several bears, eagles and with good luck also wolverine and wolf. The large hide is comfortbale with bunk beds for sleeping and eco toilet. For photographers there is smaller, more modest photography hides, with several different backgrounds. The hides are located just next to Russian border, in an area where you need lisence to go, so its very peacefull place for the predators to live. 

Step omboard to the tranquil boat tour on Lentiira river. In addition to the beautiful riverside scenery you might eventually see birds and wild animals along the way. Coming ashore for a while, we will visit Töhönpuro stream in the forest

Get familiar with casting and trolling pike, pirch and zander surrounded by Lake Lentiira´s rugged beauty. 

Kuhmon keskustasta alkava Pajakkajoki on jaettu kahteen kalastusalueeseen. Joen puolivälissä oleva Akonkoski mudostaa erillisen ekokalastusalueen, jonka varaat itsellesi vuorokaudeksi. Akonkoskella on voimassa ekokalastussäännöt. Taimen ja harjus ovat ykköskaloja.
