Join us on a 7-day sailing adventure for young people in Greece! You have no sailing experience yet? Perfect - the join-in sailing in the Peloponnese is ideal for active sailing beginners without much previous experience. An experienced skipper will accompany you and your crew and teach you the basics of sailing.

Your hands-on sailing trip for young people starts in Athens. You will meet your fellow sailors and the skipper in person on the day of arrival. You will stock up on provisions for the next few days at the nearby supermarket. You will not only help with the sailing, but also in the kitchen. This means you can play an active role in preparing breakfast and snacks. Depending on the anchorage, you will eat in a Greek restaurant in the evening or create your own dinner on board.

During your sailing vacation, you will get to know Greece's picturesque bays, dream beaches and the islands of the Peloponnese. Sail past Poros and Spetses and enjoy a frappé, the typical Greek iced coffee, in the bay of Ermioni. Of course, you will always stop for a swim in the turquoise waters. Observe how everything from luggage and food to building materials is transported by donkey on the car-free island of Hydra.

What are you waiting for? Come along and enjoy the typical Greek-Mediterranean panorama and let the wind blow around your nose!

Day 1: Arrival in Athens

Individual arrival in Athens. Allow a little time to explore this city steeped in history. From the Acropolis, you can take in the wonderful panorama of Athens. Check in at the harbor between 12 and 3 pm and get to know the boat and your crew. You form a shopping team and stock up on food for the coming days in the nearby supermarket. In the evening, you go out for dinner near the harbor and spend the first night on board.

Activities: Check in on the yacht, shopping together and dinner togetherOvernight stay: Cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 2: Athens - Aegina

Before it's time to cast off, the skipper will teach you the basics of sailing. You set sail and head south.

As sailing along is an integral part of this sailing trip, you can develop your first feeling for it today. After your first few nautical miles, a refreshing swim stop is a must. Jump off the boat into crystal-clear, deep blue water and cool off. Your destination for today is the port of Aegina. The small and charming island will enchant you. A tour of the old town is highly recommended. It's easy to do on foot or if you fancy a more relaxed tour, you can take one of the horse-drawn carriages. The route takes you past the bright white Agios Nikolaos chapel and colorfully painted kaiki boats, which are sometimes converted into floating vegetable stores, to the fish market. It is also worth visiting the well-preserved columns in the temple of Aphaia above the bay of Agia Marina in the middle of a pine forest. There is also no shortage of pretty little beaches and quaint tavernas here. By the way: Aegina is the island of pistachio trees, which can be found all over the island. Around four percent of all pistachios worldwide are grown on Aegina.

Activities: Overnight stay: cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 3: Aegina - Spetses

After breakfast, set course for the southeast. Let the wind blow around your nose and watch the sailing yacht glide almost silently through the waves.

Passing the island of Poros, you head for a picturesque bay on Spetses. You enjoy the peace and quiet, the dreamlike landscape, the azure blue water and secluded beaches surrounded by shady pine trees. You can explore the entire island by horse-drawn carriage, on bicycles or on foot. There are no cars here. The must-sees here are: the tower clock square, the well-kept captains' villas, the old shipyards, the Agios Nikolaos monastery and the Bouboulina Museum. Going out in the evening here means: Candles on the table, gourmet cuisine and fine wines, soft music and lively conversation. Night owls should head to the cosmopolitan district by the old port late in the evening. Here, the chic crowd parties shoulder to shoulder with the locals until the early hours. Are you sleeping on deck tonight to watch the stars at night?

Activities: Overnight stay: cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 4: Spetses - Bay of Ermioni

A very special gem of the Peloponnese awaits you today. After a swim in the morning, you sail into the bay of Ermioni. You anchor in the bay and have the opportunity to explore the beautiful small town of Ermioni. Alternatively, you can enjoy the sun on the pier. Ermioni is known for its beautiful, protected natural bays. Some tiny pebble bays invite you to swim, as there is no large beach in the town itself, but there are several in the surrounding bays. Refresh yourself in the crystal-clear water and stroll through the farmers' market along the promenade. Tip: Enjoy the local delicacies and stock up on good wine and cheese. In the evening, you won't be cooking on board, as you will be pampered in a cozy Greek restaurant with cicada singing included.

Activities: Overnight stay: cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 5: Ermioni - Hydra

After breakfast, you will sail a short distance to Hydra. The island will make your art and culture heart beat faster. In addition to a distinctive art scene, a rich history and cosmopolitan fame, Hydra is known as a car- and road-free island. The beauty of this tiny island has enchanted artists such as Chagall and Picasso. Instead of cabs, donkeys wait on the quay for arriving guests. Treat yourself to a frappé, the typical Greek iced coffee, and watch the mules transport luggage, food and building materials through the steep alleyways. Climb up to the oldest settlement in Hydra - Kiafa. A jewel of a town awaits you there with narrow streets, magnificent villas and seven windmills at the top of the Agios Athanasios hill. Admittedly, the climb is a sweaty one, but your efforts will be rewarded - that's a promise! Hydra also has a lot to offer at night.

Activities: Overnight stay: cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 6: Hydra- Poros

It's time to sleep in today, as the sails are set a little later than usual. After a half-hour trip, you stop for a swim in one of the beautiful bays. The crystal-clear turquoise water makes it easy for you to decide to jump into the water. Then it's on to Poros. A small island with lush pine forests, heavenly tranquillity and old-fashioned charm.

Transportation such as bicycles, cars and scooters take the place of donkeys here. Explore the island with one of these means of transportation or relax on one of the many beaches and refresh yourself in the deep blue, crystal-clear water. Or become a conqueror and swim over to the small island to the east of the harbor to occupy the small castle there.

A stroll through the narrow streets of picturesque Poros, with its whitewashed houses enveloped in bougainvillea, will take you back in time.

Directly opposite Paros is a fairytale Mediterranean forest. Tens of thousands of lemon trees as well as orange, mandarin and pomegranate trees cover the entire area down to the sea. Water mills ripple among them and there is a picturesque little chapel that was built in 1900. Especially when in bloom, this grove is a literally beguiling place that you won't forget in a hurry.

Amazingly, the lemon tree can bear flowers and fruit at the same time and there are two fragrant flowering periods and two harvests per year. Stroll along the coastal promenade past the many cafés and tavernas. The atmosphere here is particularly enchanting in the evening, when the light reflects off the bars and clubs. Dinner today is served in one of the quaint tavernas. Of course, a typical Greek meal also includes an ouzo - Jamas!

Activities: Overnight stay: cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 7: Poros - Agistri - Athens

Relax once again in the beautiful turquoise waters and get an extra dose of vitamin D. The small island of Agistri is ideal for this. There are only a few tourists here, but hospitable locals, lots of enchanting nature and beautiful bays with crystal-clear water. Small, quaint villages with traditional houses, beautiful hiking trails and cozy taverns invite you to do more than just laze on the beach. Set sail for the last time and demonstrate your newly acquired skills with fun sailing. As we all know, you should stop when it's at its best: you and your crew return to Alimos Kalamaki/Athens. You look back on an eventful week of sailing with sunshine in your heart.

Activities: Free timeOvernight stay: Cabin on the sailing boat (or similar accommodation)

Day 8: Check out and departure

Unfortunately, your sailing adventure is already over. You already packed your travel bag yesterday and you leave the yacht relaxed by 9 am. You have mastered your first sailing experience with flying colors. Are you already looking forward to your next sailing trip? The Peloponnese and other wonderful sailing areas are not only suitable for sailing beginners, but also for advanced sailors!
