In Sasso Barisano, you will explore the ancient Church of Sant’Antonio Abate, while in Sasso Caveoso you will reach the spectacular Madonna de Idris, dramatically set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the canyon. This sacred complex also preserves the ancient crypt of San Giovanni in Monterrone and frescoes dating from the 12th to the 17th century.You will also step inside a traditionally furnished cave house to better understand how families lived in the Sassi until the mid-20th century.
