Make your own Weihrichkarzle

In the show workshop of the beautifully restored three-sided farmhouse "Zum Weihrichkarzl", you can learn all about the "Weihrichkarzl" (incense candle). Here you can experience Erzgebirge tradition and history in a rustic setting. Visitors knead and shape their own incense candles by hand, just like in grandfather's day - and of course you can get really dirty! Fun for the whole family, friends or colleagues.

If you get hungry during your visit to the lovingly restored three-sided farm "Zum Weihrichkarzl", then you are in good hands in our "Leffelstub". Inaugurated in fall 2017, it offers space for around 50 people. Unusually furnished, it has a rustic and stylish ambience. Cult has to be earned. That's why all dishes served must be eaten with the Karzl spoon developed by Jürgen Huß - owner of the traditional smoked candle manufacturer. The patented spoon is ergonomically shaped and its innovative design prevents "spilling" or "drooling". It prevents food from dripping off beforehand. A positive side effect: shirts, blouses or T-shirts only need to be washed twice a year.

You won't find a huge menu here, because we believe that less is fresh and therefore more, which is why we cook seasonally and mainly with products from the Ore Mountains and Saxony.

Reservations are welcome. But we also welcome spontaneous visitors to our "Leffelstub". The opening hours are based on those of the show workshop and the store. Exceptions are possible on request.
