Full Technical Equipment Provided:

  • Via Ferrata Set – Includes shock absorbers and carabiners for securing in delicate passages.
  • Via Ferrata Gloves – Ensures a firm grip during rock scrambling and exposed traverses.

The shuttle departs punctually at the scheduled times and, out of respect for other participants, we will not be able to wait for late arrivals. Please ensure you calculate your travel time correctly to arrive at your selected meeting point on time and avoid any inconvenience.


  • Comfort with Heights – The trail is exposed and has no fixed protections, so participants must be at ease with heights.
  • Good Physical Condition – The hike lasts approximately 4 hours, requiring stamina and stability on technical terrain.
  • Experience in Alpine Terrain – Participants must have prior experience on exposed trails and rock scrambling.

  • Proper Footwear & Clothing – Non-slip hiking shoes and technical clothing are mandatory for safety and comfort.
 

A spectacular trail suspended above the void, offering unparalleled views of the turquoise waters of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains. The route includes narrow ledges, exposed sections, and short climbing passages, making it an exciting and adrenaline-filled adventure. With no fixed protections, this trail is recommended only for experienced hikers or those accompanied by a certified Mountain guide. The itinerary begins on one of the most iconic historic trails of the Garda region, adding a touch of history and tradition to the adventure. The trail winds through wild landscapes and historic traces, retracing the secret routes of smugglers from the early 20th century.

The Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri is a challenging alpine trail suspended high above Lake Garda. Sheer drops, exposed sections, and rock scrambling alternate with easier parts, requiring focus and a sure footing.

What can you expect from this route?

⚠ This trail is NOT suitable for those who suffer from vertigo.


A certified Alpine guide is highly recommended to ensure safety and proper progression along the most challenging sections.
