    Es ging schon ein paar Höhemmeter bergauf, jedoch war der single-track so interessant, abgeschieden und einfach nur schön, dass das gar nicht auffiel. Die fehlenden Bäume auf der Höhe sorgten für Ausblicke, der Forstweg ist etwas suboptimal. Alles in allem eine Tour, die ich bedenkenlos weiterempfehle.

    Wir sind die Runde ab Georgenthal gegen den Uhrzeigersinn gegangen. Der Saurierpfad führt durch schöhnen Mischwald. Die Nachbildungen der Saurier sind sehr deteilgetreu und sehr gut erhalten. Auf den dazugehörigen Infotafeln kann man alles über die Urzeitbewohner erfahren. Einen Stern musste ich leider für den als Saurierpfad-Rückweg ausgeschilderten Weg abziehen. Dieser ist erstens nicht so doll und zweitens im Moment (Stand: 26.10.2024) bergab Richtung Rodebachmühle absolut NICHT BEGEHBAR! Es von den Forstareiten nicht nur Spurrinnen entstanden, sondern auch ein komplett matschiger Weg über die komplette Breite. Wir haben versucht, uns hindurchzuwühlen. Hat aber nicht funktioniert. Die Schuhe sind so tief eingesunken, dass diese kaum noch herauszubekommen waren. Wir sind dann oberhalb des Weges am Hang entlang durch das Dickicht gegangen - nicht gerade ungefährlich. Dieser Weg sollte unbedingt geebnet und mit Schotter aufgefüllt werden!!! Wenn man den Rundweg komplett geht, reicht die angegebene Zeit auf keinen Fall. Ich bin der Meinung, dass man die 2 Stunden 30 Minuten nur für den Saurierpfad braucht und dan für den Rückweg nochmal gut 2 Stunden einplanen sollte.

    Steiler Anstieg wird belohnt mit abwechslungsreicher Tour. Da die Bike-Arena Silbersattel geschlossen ist, war ich alleine auf weiter Flur und konnte absolute Stille geniesen. Im Bereich des Fellbergs hat der Wald leider ziemlich gelitten, aber das hat im Sommer durchaus seinen Charme. Der Weg verläuft größtenteils über schmale Wurzelpfade. Daher unbedingt Wanderschuhe tragen! Den kurzen Abstecher zum Leierlochfelsen kann ich nicht empfehlen. Hier liegen überall Baumstämme und Geäst.

    Wanderwege hatten wir wirklich schon schönere, aber auf dem Ruppberggipfel wird man mit einer herrlichen Rundumsicht belohnt. Von Mai bis Oktober ist an Wochenenden die Hütte geöffnet. Ansonsten gibt es genug Sitzgelegenheiten für Selbstversorger.

    Schöne Runde. Wir hatten das Kids-Wanderheft als Begleiter dabei. So macht es gleich mehr Laune für die Kinder. Highlight war die Einkehr in der Bergbaude Veilchenbrunnen.

    Sehr schöner Rundweg, gerade im verschneiten Winter. Die Beschilderung könnte an der ein oder anderen Stelle eindeutiger sein. Gastronomie entlang des Weges ist super! Das kleine technische Museum ist auch interessant.

    Pädagogisch wertvoll! Als kleine Wanderung vor allem mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen. Mehrere Stationen mit Infos zum Thema Wald und Natur dazu Aussichtspunkte über den Ort und auch gute Einkehrmöglichkeiten z.B. an der "Schönen Aussicht" oder am Markt im Cafe"Jung". Selbst ein Wasserspielplatz liegt nahe (ca. 200m) des Start Zielpunktes an der Bushaltestelle zum Landgrafen. Dort sind ebenfalls 2 weitere Gelegenheiten für Speis und Trank ("Gute Stube" und "Einkehr zum Landgrafen"), sowie ein kleiner Laden mit regionalen Produkten.
