Exploring Braunwald with the charming dwarf Bartli Far back in the Glarus region, high above the valley, hidden under large fir trees, stands a small house, brown like fir bark. Its inhabitant, the dwarf Bartli, has just woken up from hibernation and is delighted by the first warm sun rays and the bright flowers announcing spring.

Following the trail of the giant Martin, you can discover 17 individual stations. Tip: The little ones can enjoy a meals from the Giant Forest at the Ämpächli mountain restaurant. The trail is stroller-friendly.

Exciting adventure playgrounds ensure an unforgettable hiking experience on the 5 km long adventure trail! Open from May 1 to November 1.

The magical line In the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tektonikarena Sardona, the visible phenomena of mountain formation have sparked controversial discussions among researchers for 200 years. For a long time, there was no consensus on how mountains really formed. The exciting research history can be experienced as an audio drama on the hike from Elm to Schwanden. The path starts from the village center of Elm near the church on the Suworow route in five stages to Schwanden train station (hiking trail no. 55, ViaSuworow). The pure hiking time is 4.5 hours.

The stations of the story walk are located on the route of the green village tour.

The Glarus Planet Trail is an educational path where the solar system is represented in a reduced scale: the sun and planets appear in size and mutual distance at a scale of 1:2 billion. At each location, an information board provides details about the respective celestial body. Additional information and tasks to solve can be accessed via QR code.
