Nature trails in Eichsfeld

20 forest animals are waiting to be discovered by young and old on the Gerterode stalking path.

From Großtöpfer, the hiking trail leads high up to the pilgrimage church in the monastery on the Hülfensberg. Through the small village Bebendorf, it goes down to the hamlet Stockwies into the valley of the Frieda and along the little stream back to the starting point.

The Pirschpfad starts at the playground in the village center of Dieterode. On the approximately 1.5 km circular route, children and adults can discover native animals.

Through becoming, growing and decaying, a forest wilderness develops here in the middle of Germany, in line with the WWF project Thuringian Primeval Forest Trails, into the "Primeval Forest of Tomorrow".
