Mountain hikes in Saxony

from Niederlauterstein via Ochsenkopf into the Schwarzwassertal and back to Niederlauterstein

On miner trails and wood raker paths amid the wild mining region Erzgebirge/Krusnohori. Today: between Lauterbach - Drei-Brüder-Höhe and Marienberg.

Large climb route in Saxon Switzerland and one of my personal classics when I want to go through the most exciting climbs & ladders with friends. I have been doing this route since around 2016 and it is always a great route. Attention! Appropriate experience and/or equipment is required!

Circular route - ascent through the needle eye - Jäckelfels - Barbarine - descent Nasse Schlucht

With the circular route "Boundless Hiking" the border between Saxony and Bohemia is crossed not only figuratively. The hiking route, along its path on both sides of the border, is a symbol of the connection between the areas on the Saxon and Bohemian sides. It opens up cooperation regarding the joint expansion of tourist infrastructure and marketing, making it a pilot project with a vivid example of lively collaboration in practice.

Beautiful mountain hike on secured paths from the Sedlitzer Hut over the Rauenstein, spa town Rathen, the Stone Table and the town of Wehlen with crossing of the Elbe by ferry in Rathen and Wehlen

A short walk to the breathtaking Bastei Bridge and then a beautiful hike down, around, & through the lush forest on the Swedish Holes trail before ending on the Bastei Bridge!

Elbsandstone Mountains / Saxon Switzerland / Bad Schandau

On narrow mountaineering paths, partly exposed and with short climbing sections, the route goes to the Bastei and then to the rather meager Amselfall. From there back. Heavy tourism only at the Bastei and the path to Amselfall.

Start Beuthenfall - Lower Häntzschelstiege (omitted, as in my opinion not suitable for children up to 10 years) - Zwillingsstiege (easily doable, also for the little one) - Upper Häntzschelstiege - Long Horn - Small Präbischtor - Lower Affensteinpromenade - Beuthenfall
