Mountain hikes in Alsace

The most renowned path in the entire Vosges Massif, its most imposing glacial cirque and the highest summit of the crystalline Vosges: it is a hike of superlatives! Demanding, but not to be missed by any hiking enthusiast.

As mythical as technical: the Sentier des Roches is a must-see in the Vosges. Did you know there are 3 parts? Most routes only take the first one.

A short hike that packs a punch. Steep, exposed sections combined with the need for sure footing... and views that are second to none... You’ll hardly find any route information for this hike... but we’ve got it for you!!!

In the Vosges Nature Park

On the approximately 20 kilometers between Lac Blanc and Batteriekopf, the alpine heart of the Vosges beats: rocky summits, icy-cold mountain lakes, chamois, wild paths. The wildest area is on the Spitzkoepfe, an approximately one-kilometer-long rocky ridge south of the Hohneck.

This hike goes around Lac Blanc and includes steep sections. Good shoes are recommended. The route is marked with a red ring and can be done in either direction.

Great, varied hike with great views and diverse landscapes. Not too strenuous and in the end you know what you have accomplished.

Take on the challenge - climb all three castles of Ribeauville.

Starting in Urmatt in the Breusch Valley, this challenging hike follows the ridge trail over the highest peaks of the Red Sandstone Vosges and back to the Breusch Valley, where the train departs from Schirmeck and returns to the starting point. Overnight accommodations are available along the way at the Hotel Velleda.
