A loop route starting from Montaner di Sarmede. Descent through “le buse” to Anzano di Cappella Maggiore, then through Vittorio Veneto to Ceneda. From there, climb up to Le Perdonanze and on to Corbanese di Tarzo, then return to Vittorio Veneto via Confin. From Vittorio Veneto, head back to Montaner via Fregona and Osigo. Simple route mainly S0 and S1, also feasible with a Gravel bike, passing through nice cycling sections never challenging neither for slopes nor for technique. The route can be extended but unfortunately the road to Piancavallo is closed for works near Casera della Val Friz. The season is still chilly and unfortunately there were no thermals to expand today's clouds, I had to recalibrate the route for general visibility. Anyway, nice route. 80% asphalt S0 20% dirt road S1 60% Electric in assisted mode. Battery 48V 17.5Ah Motor 1500W at the wheel hub

Montaner - Valsalega - Pian dell'Erba - Briglie - Maren
Difficulty S0 difficult
41.3 km
2:42 h

1,784 m
A ride of moderate difficulty, with only three short sections of trail (single track or S0/S1). Suitable for mountain bikes or eMTBs (battery usage: 50%; 800W—a very strenuous ride today). We recommend using a Tabacco map or GPS track due to the numerous turn-offs. Chronological route description: From Vittorio Veneto to the Caglieron Caves Park via paved road. Then take the shortcut via Via Piai to Osigo. From Osigo, take the beautiful scenic route to Montaner. From the church in Montaner, after going around it, turn left and then left again down a steep slope; shortly after, turn right—the trail is helpful here. The climb to Valsalega is fairly steady, with a steeper incline at the start that then levels off. Once you reach the last house in Lama Vecchia, the road ends with a gate on the right; on the left, take a narrow path that’s easy but a bit tedious due to loose rocks. After 500 m, you’ll rejoin a good dirt road; follow it straight ahead until you emerge onto the SP422. Here, head down to the right, and shortly after passing the La Lantenna pizzeria on your left, turn right onto a road that runs alongside CAI982b for a few hundred meters. The first two kilometers are very steep, then the slope levels off. Once you reach Boscars, descend slightly and rejoin CAI982, which also shares the H trail (marker on an orange background); from here, turn left toward Pian dell’Erba. You can choose to take the higher route past the Cadolten Forest House or stay lower down, where you’ll join trail 1036a a few meters up an easy path. The meeting point between the two possible routes is the Capitello di San Floriano. Now head down the “Strada del Santo” and turn right toward Le Briglie; pass them by and climb briefly to join the CAI980—first on the road and then on the trail (perhaps the most challenging part of the hike, but nothing to worry about). Once you reach the fork, take the road that descends first to Pradal, then to Maren and Santa Giustina, and then return as you please. There are several potential rest stops and fountains for water. 50% Paved 40% Dirt road 10% Trail, only a few meters of S1

Crosetta Pass - Piancavallo

1,231 m
A hike with no technical difficulties, mostly S0 and S1, on paved or unpaved roads. The view is beautiful, especially in the fall—like today—when you can really appreciate the fall foliage. Refreshment stops are available along the trail; check for seasonal opening hours. There are plenty of dining options in Piancavallo. Light electric mode. 48V 17.5Ah battery—consumes less than 50% Also feasible on gravel

Difficulty difficult

A very easy ride with moderate elevation gain starting from Vittorio Veneto. The route favors flat, scenic stretches through the hills surrounding Vittorio Veneto; it follows roads exclusively, with a few unpaved sections. In chronological order: From Sant’Andrea to Piadera—a nice warm-up climb! From Piadera to the Caglieron Caves. Some sections are on dirt roads. From Caglieron to the church in Osigo via the dirt road known as Via Piai. From Osigo to Rugolo, passing through Borgo Luca and Montaner; once you reach Tony Macia’s tavern, take the Strada del Patriarca through Rugoletto. From Rugolo to Villa di Villa, passing through Rugoletto and Castello di Cordignano. From Villa di Villa to San Martino di Colle Umberto, passing through Cordignano. From San Martino di Colle Umberto to Castello Roganzuolo via the Strada de San Bellin. From Castello di Roganzuolo to Oliano, crossing State Highway 51. From Oliano to Scomigo and Carpesica. Return via Ceneda and Castello di San Martino. Assisted mode, battery consumption approximately 30% (800W Bosch CX5 motor) Numerous places to eat and drink and water fountains along the route.
