Motorcycle routes in Haiming

This is one of the favorite pastimes of Tyrolean cabrio lovers & bikers on weekends

My Shadow took me from Telfs over Silz - Ötztal station - Imst - Arzl im Pitztal - Wenns - Piller to the Pillerhöhe, the Alpine pass located at 1,560 m above sea level. After a stop at the truly worthwhile viewing platform "Gacher Blick", it was then back home towards Innsbruck.

The political situation in Iran is unfortunately not constantly stable. If I don't bring my bike into the country at the border, or if safety is questionable, I have worked out this route as an alternative to my Orient tour. It connects the Orient with the Carpathians. I get to Edirne as usual by car train. In this variant too, I have included great passes, some off-road sections (Black Sea Mountains in Turkey, Strategika in Romania), and some sights. The ferry from Batumi to Odessa takes me across the Black Sea. Since I have to leave out my dream destination - the Bazaar of Tehran - I will look at the Bazaar of Istanbul. Also nice. Starting in Telfs, the round tour goes via Obsteig and over the  Holzleitensattel to Nassereith, then continuing to Tarrenz, Imst, Karrösten, Ötztal-Bahnhof and back to Telfs.

A very beautiful round trip from GAP via the Timmelsjoch, the Jaufen and the Brenner Pass. With many views and insights.

From Telfs, take the Honda Shadow over Silz to Haiming,  slightly winding up to the Haiminger Sattele and from there comfortably continue over the town of Kühtai to Sellrain, Kematen to Innsbruck.

Meine  Shadow trug mich an einem frühherbstlichen Tag von Telfs über Silz und den Haiminger Berg auf das Silzer Sattele (auch Haiminger Sattele genannt) auf 1.960 m Seehöhe. Der gefällig eingerichtete Parkplatz am Sattele lädt natürlich zum Verweilen ein. Heimwärts ging es dann  recht kurvenreich über Ochsengarten, Taxegg nach Oetz und weiter über Ötztal-Bahnhof, Silz, Rietz nach Telfs. Die 6 ausgewiesenen Kehren hatten es in sich, allerdings konnte ich als Anfängerin diese  Herausforderung gut meistern,, was wohl an der sehr verkehrsberuhigten Situation lag.
