Die Jugendherberge Gersfeld liegt mitten im Sport- und Freizeitgelände der Stadt, direkt am Waldrand. Von hier führen die Wanderwege in die Rhön oder zum Gersfelder Hochwildschutzpark. In den Wintermonaten kann der Gast die gut präparierten Langlauf- und Alpinpisten der Rhön nutzen.
