LocationWe are located in the northern part of North Karelia, on the edge of a quiet little village, about two kilometres east of the Lieksa-Kuhmo road. The nearest public transport stops are in Lieksa, which can be reached by train or bus. You can fly to Joensuu, Kuopio or Kajaani airports - and we will be happy to pick you up or arrange a transfer to your destination.
We are easy to reach by hiking, cycling or canoeing - we are located right on well-known routes such as the Karhunpolu, Jongunjoki and EuroVelo 13 cycling routes.
You can also land on the lake by seaplane, and there is a helipad in our yard for helicopters.

We prepare home-cooked meals using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. We use vegetables and herbs from the home garden, seasonal produce from the forest, and fresh fish from local lakes.
Wellness
Our destination is also the perfect place to relax and enjoy a leisurely pace of life. You can sit by the lake and read a book, enjoy the warmth of a fire, take a quiet stroll through the woods or just listen to the sounds of nature - here you can do exactly what you want in peace and quiet.
Smoke sauna, barrel sauna, open-air swimming and sauna
The silence of a summer morning, the glowing colours of autumn or the pure white landscape of winter... There is always a sense of vibrancy, inspiration and joy in the lake landscape.
Finnish culture is strongly linked to living by the water. Lakes are places of relaxation, recreation and connection with nature - and the sauna is at the heart of many Finnish traditions. Jongunjoki Tourism has three different saunas, two of which are located on the shores of the lake.
A morning swim, an evening swim or a midday refreshing swim in the lake? A sauna followed by a refreshing dip in the lake? Do you prefer a longer sauna or a bath at dusk?
