Gasthaus "Zum Simale"

On September 17, 1809, the legendary Kärntner robber Simon Kramer, known as "Krapfenbäck Simale," was shot by French soldiers here. The depiction painted by Julius Wolf of the charming rebel, also referred to as the "Kärntner Robin Hood," has been adorning the exterior wall of the former school building and today's inn "Zum Simale" for years alongside other original pieces from the area. 

Our inn offers a lovingly furnished dining room with a bar and open fireplace, as well as a cozy sun or guest terrace for delightful hours outdoors.

The "Simalewirtin" Andrea Kogler ensures the culinary and spiritual well-being of her guests with flair.
