In the Heart of Meisenheim - Wine Hotel Since 1699
Meisenheim. A city "en miniature," uniquely spared from wars in southwestern Germany for over 500 years, filled with wonderful architectural heritage. A cradle of Swedish and Bavarian kings, intertwined with European history, nestled in gentle nature with a sunny, charming disposition, and located near some of the best vineyards in the world...
Being part of this city, part of this culture, is the essence of our hotel. The magnificent baroque main building has housed an inn since at least 1699. Redefined as a wine hotel in 2013, we have designed our establishment so that we would love to be guests here ourselves.
Our 24 hotel rooms and suites are themed. Most are named after famous vineyards along the Nahe River, such as "Kloster Disibodenberg," "Goldloch," "Frühlingsplätzchen," "Kupfergrube," "Hermannshöhle," and "Bastei." Their unique decor references the vineyards and the prominent winemakers who tend to them and serve as the rooms' patrons. Other rooms pay homage to historical figures related to Meisenheim’s history. Whether it's an English princess or a Swedish king, you’ll be in for a surprise...
Modern comfort is a given, but a distinctive style shapes the experience, even in our special room, "Im Kino." Surrounded by original accessories, you can enjoy your very own show. Our establishment actually had a cinema for half a century, with a hall that accommodated 350 people. For our hotel guests, there is an exclusive rooftop and relaxation terrace, as well as an herb garden. Or you can read the "Meisenheimer Novelle" in the armchairs of our library?
