Das Meeres-Gefühl mitten im Dorf – die Schermbecker Mitte.

Schermbeck haben sie zu ihrem Nabel der Welt gewählt – Miriam und Goran Jokic beleben die Schermbecker Mitte mit ihrem gleichnamigen Restaurant. Seitdem gibt es hier Fischgerichte, Mediterranes und viel Lebensfreude in der ehemaligen Kneipe Rademacher-Doernemann, direkt neben der evangelischen Kirche St. Georg. Das ehemals einfache Lokal hat sich zu einem feinen Restaurant entwickelt – für Familien, Geschäftsessen, Gesellschaften bis zu 70 Personen und nach wie vor auch für Kneipengänger und Stammtische. Buffets richten die Gastleute ab 60 Personen aufwärts in ihrem Restaurant aus. Im Sommer kommen 85 Plätze auf der Außenterrasse vor dem Restaurant dazu. Das neue Interieur strahlt eine gewisse großstädtische Weltläufigkeit aus. In dunklem Holz mit viel Rot, dabei aber hell und freundlich. Die Küche gibt sich kreativ-inspiriert. „Ja“, bestätigt Miriam Jokic. „Aber vor allem ehrlich. Man wird hier satt.“ Goran Jokic legt viel Wert darauf, seinen kulinarischen Kreationen immer etwas Besonderes mitzugeben und die Speisen liebevoll anzurichten. 

Auch Spargel, Pfifferlinge oder Kürbis werden in der entsprechenden Saison mediterran zubereitet. Dazu gibt es immer eine reiche Auswahl an Fisch. Neben Zander, Dorade und Scampi finden regelmäßig Überraschungen für den Gaumen den Weg auf die Tafel mit den Tagesgerichten: Thunfischtatar, Papageifisch oder Austern zum Beispiel. „Meine Fischkreationen werden begeistert angenommen“, freut sich Goran. „Das war eine Lücke in Schermbeck.“ Oft kocht der Chef große Fische für eine Runde von zwei bis vier Personen.
