While the charming Relais d'Arpette hotel dates to 1926, their rooms were recently renovated in 2015. They have a variety of rooms and small dorms, friendly service, great food and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere high above town. Great for an overnight, or just a stop for refreshments along your hike.
To walk from Champex, follow the road left to the la Breya chairlift. Behind the chairlift, a small trail points you to the TMB to the right, under the chairs and along a small waterway. Continue up this trail 20-30 minutes, curving left into the Arpette valley, to Hotel Relais d’Arpette.
