Despite its location right off the road, this chalet functions well as a mountain hut: dormitories, half-board meals, and no telephone service. It makes for a great stopover on the Beaufortain loop, or a starting point for numerous hikes such as the Roc du Vent or the Crête des Gittes.
Staffed from June 15 to September 14, the refuge is closed in the fall and spring but is open in the winter on a “self-service” basis : you may use the bedding, dishes, gas, and firewood provided, in exchange for a fee paid to the FFCAM.
