The Hotel Weisshorn is an interesting optional stop along the Haute Route. Just 4 hrs from Zinal and 2 hrs from St Luc, it's a stop that can easily be skipped by people hiking to Gruben. But for those who are not in a big hurry, it's a pleasant and scenic place to stay.
Set on a high meadow just above treeline, the Hotel Weisshorn has grand views down across the valley and to the mountain. The Weisshorn has a variety of simple, pine-panelled private rooms and serves typical Swiss meals in their panoramic restaurant.
