In the 1990s, the "Old Ice House" was transformed into its current appearance with contemporary style, much effort, and attention to detail. Hotel guests can expect a modern, appealing hotel in Gießen with 35 rooms in three categories, an elevator, and a restaurant with a beer garden.

You will find a friendly and comfortable setup in Gießen's hotel (rooms with shower/WC, flat-screen TV, and views of the Lahn, mostly with a balcony or terrace). From 2013 to 2017, we renovated all hotel rooms of the Old Ice House and newly furnished them. The Old Ice House in Gießen is ideally located directly on the Lahn, making it perfect for business travelers, hikers, cyclists, and paddlers. There is a free parking lot directly at the hotel and a small docking area in front of the beer garden. Guests can relax in the hotel's restaurant with a variety of culinary delights of typical regional cuisine and a selected glass of wine.
