Gästehaus Kloster Steinfeld

Surrounded by the greenery of the Nordeifel, the two white towers of the Steinfeld Basilica rise behind the wide-open, wrought-iron gate of the monastery portal. The historical beginnings of the Steinfeld monastery date back more than 1000 years, and the site is considered one of the best-preserved monastic monuments in the Rhineland.
For almost 100 years, the religious community of Salvatorians has made its home here - offering its guests an extraordinary place to stay.

As a center of education and spirituality, art and culture, the religious community brings the monastery to life for its guests. They experience the pilgrimage site with the grave of Saint Hermann Joseph and the historic King organ of the basilica as a cultural and religious focal point of the region. Organ vespers, concerts, and musical meditations invite visits, as do the guided tours of the monastery complex with cloister and chapel. The Academy Monastery Steinfeld, meanwhile, offers adult education in a monastic atmosphere - a counterbalance to the stresses of everyday life.

The new guesthouse of the Steinfeld monastery promises a comfortable stay in a monastic atmosphere with 64 comfortable rooms in four-star standard. The spacious guest rooms are designed with natural materials such as wood and granite. Artists from the Academy Monastery Steinfeld have provided their paintings to give the guest rooms an individual touch. In addition to the 3 accessible rooms, the entire guesthouse has been designed to be barrier-free.

The monastery is simultaneously a place of deceleration and encounter. In the heart of the Nordeifel, it serves as a starting point for varied excursions to castles and palaces, recreational facilities, and museums in the surrounding area. The Steinfeld monastery is a stage destination of the premium hiking trail Eifelsteig.
