Ten minutes' walk from the village center is Engelberg Youth Hostel, a cosy mountain lodge in traditional Swiss style. From there, you can hop straight onto your bike and explore the fascinating mountain landscape.
The region offers a variety of trails for every riding style. Depending on your preferences, you can choose from enjoyable e-bike tours, challenging cross-country day tours or enduro adventures. If you're out and about with the little ones in the family, the Engelberg Bike School offers the perfect introduction for children aged 3 to 14 with the Kids Bike League.
The reasonably priced hostel provides fun and relaxation after a strenuous day of biking. There is a playground for kids, as well as a table football table and a table tennis table. The spacious lounges, typical of youth hostels, invite you to linger and chat with like-minded people. With breakfast included in the price, you start your day full of energy and the balanced and sustainable three-course menu for dinner (excl.) replenishes your energy stores. Packed lunches can be ordered for refreshments along the way.

Varied routes start right on the doorstep, such as the challenging trails on the Joch Pass or the panoramic Four Lakes Tour, which perfectly combines action and views. Technically experienced riders will also find exciting descents around the Titlis and in the Brunni area, while leisure bikers can enjoy gentler panoramic trails through the Engelberg Valley. The central location makes it easy to combine tours with mountain railroads and thus enjoy maximum downhill fun.

From Lucerne, take the Zentralbahn train directly to Engelberg in around 45 minutes. From the station it's about a 10-minute walk to the youth hostel or a few minutes on the local bus to the Dorfstrasse stop.
