Our house is situated in the heart of the Palatinate Forest, right by the newly established cycling path from Bad Dürkheim to Kaiserslautern, and as a starting or finishing point for beautiful hiking trails in the untouched nature of the Palatinate Forest, our Alte Schmelz is a place of peace and relaxation. Especially in summer, where the pleasant climate and fresh forest air provide a striking contrast to the hot city air, our little corner of the earth is a popular destination for friends of good food and Palatinate wines.

Our goal at the Alte Schmelz is to enable you to plan your stay independently, without having to forgo comfort.

Breakfast in the Apartment
Whether you are an early riser or a late sleeper – you have breakfast when it suits you!
You can easily create your breakfast daily via your QR code, and we will prepare it in your fridge in the afternoon for the next morning.

The kitchen in your apartment is equipped with all the utensils, dishes, and appliances you need and is at your free disposal. And the best part – we take care of the dishes: Just place the dirty dishes in the designated basket, and we will exchange them daily with room service.

Breakfast for Groups
If you have arrived as a group and would like to have breakfast together, please let us know. We will prepare a classic breakfast buffet for your group in our restaurant.
