Its location is ideal for anyone who wants to fully enjoy nature and the mountains and indulge in the pleasures of skiing and hiking. In fact, in winter, the slopes of the Aussois ski area run right nearby, while in summer, the Vanoise National Park is just a few minutes’ walk away. Facing due south, it offers all the necessary comforts along with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
The 4G network isn’t always reliable, but staying in this unique setting is also an opportunity to take a little “digital detox,” reconnect with nature, appreciate the peace and quiet of the surroundings, and fully enjoy your vacation.
It sleeps up to 6 guests. Pets are not allowed. This is a smoke-free chalet.
SUMMER:
A unique base for exploring the Vanoise National Park
In summer, access by car is via a paved mountain road followed by a dirt track that’s easily drivable all the way to within 100 meters of the chalet.
Luggage and supplies are transported by 4x4. The chalet is just 4 km from the village of Aussois.
It’s the ideal base camp for hikers, mountaineers, rock climbers, and paragliders, as well as for touring cyclists (the Iseran, Galibier, Mont Cenis, Croix de Fer, and Glandon passes…) and mountain bikers (enduro and cross-country).
WINTER:
Enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings, with the added bonus of being able to head out and return right on your skis.
An alpine chalet located on the slopes of the Aussois ski area.
Access is via a blue run from the Grand Jeu chairlift (note: last ride up at 4:15 p.m.). Non-skiers can reach the chalet on snowshoes (about a 1-hour walk with a 300-meter elevation gain).
We’ll pick you up at the parking lot at the base of the slopes and accompany you on skis all the way to our family-friendly chalet. Luggage and supplies will be transported by motorized vehicle. Please note: this option is not well-suited for very young children who do not ski and need to take lessons, as you’ll still need to take one blue run in the morning to reach the resort. The chalet is ideally located for ski touring enthusiasts. On the day of departure, your luggage must be ready to be taken down by 8:00 a.m. (unless you wish to take it down yourself) because we cannot drive the motorized vehicle while the ski area is open.
The following are provided:
Bedding (beds made upon arrival with duvets), towels, and linens.
Cleaning supplies and essentials (toilet paper, cooking oil, condiments, etc.)—and even slippers. Final cleaning is included. Firewood and electricity.
Transportation of your luggage and supplies at the beginning and end of your stay.
