Cyclist-friendly accommodation in the centre of Velenje
Hostel Velenje has 58 beds in rooms with two to six beds. In addition to the basic service of overnight accommodation, bed linen, towels, internet access and a shared kitchen, guests can also enjoy vending machines with hot and cold drinks and snacks.
We also offer groups affordable rental of seminar rooms and lecture theatres with all related equipment. In addition to breakfast, lunch or dinner can be arranged in a nearby restaurant on request.
Part of the hostel is adapted for disabled guests, and Wi-Fi is available.

The Šaleška Valley is criss-crossed by cycle paths, linking it with the Upper Savinja Valley and Carinthia. You can cycle along the Štrekna River through the Huda luknja gorge and on to Austria. In the summer months, the Štrekna bus also connects you to the Štrekna cycle path in Carinthia and the Drava cycle path. The Sleme invites you to an altitude challenge and the Vodemla to a gravelly descent into the valley.
Hikers can take one of the interesting themed trails (the Castle Trail) or climb one of the nearby hills (Jakec or Koželj).
The Velenje Lakes with Velenje Beach will delight all lovers of water sports, fishing, tennis and beach volleyball.

Directions
On the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, take the Arja Vas, Velenje exit. When you arrive in Velenje, you see the castle on the hill. Turn right at the roundabout. Continue straight for about 1 km. Turn left before the tunnel, after 150 m you will find Mladinski Hotel Velenje on the left.
