Monte Coito

Situated in the heart of Baixo Alentejo in Almodôvar, about an hour and a half from Lisbon and 45 minutes from the Algarve, Monte Coito offers a privileged environment of Nature Worship through its pure and simple space with a tranquil atmosphere. This Rural Tourism lodging, a Family Hill consists of two buildings of different origin: the “Monte Velho” and the “Monte Novo”. The first, dating from 1896 according to the exterior inscription in stone, constitutes the traditional house of Monte Alentejano, with surrounding barn once intended for agricultural purposes. The "Monte Novo", as the name implies, is a newer building, inspired by Arabic - influenced architecture with its gazebo terrace. We provide a healthy and invigorating stay for those who visit us.
