Pauline & Raphaël welcome you to an authentic 19th-century village house steeped in history (former coaching inn, of which the large "carriage gate" remains on the street side), very carefully restored, adjoining the old ramparts, a stone's throw from the vineyards and amenities, in the very heart of the charming wine-growing and commercial town of Givry, famous for its emblematic AOC, the jewel of the Côtes Chalonnaises wines (the favorite wine of the famous King of France, Henry IV, according to legend!). An ancient fortified village, renowned for its very rich listed heritage (numerous churches including a remarkable 12th-century Romanesque building, the Clock Gate, the round hall, the Monks' Cellar, wash houses, fountains, very beautiful characterful houses…), this elegant town “with incredible charm” has many amenities as well as notable leisure facilities including the renowned “Acrogivry” Park (the largest treetop adventure park in Burgundy, one of the largest Adventure Parks in France!) and enjoys a magnificent preserved landscape setting (largely protected in ZNIEFF and “Natura 2000” zones for its rich fauna and flora), nestled in the heart of the gentle Chalonnaise wine country in the hollow of a bucolic valley of vineyard hills and meadows encircled by vast state forests (to be explored during relaxing walks or bike rides), rich in sublime panoramas and landscapes. A very comfortable cottage nestled in a secluded spot. A pleasant, spacious living area is nestled behind a large bay window opening onto a private gravel terrace.
