Welcome to the Old Forester's House in Rohr.

Our farm is conveniently located just 3 minutes from the A1, yet it's very peaceful. The building was constructed around 1920 and was extensively rebuilt and modernized in 2014.

As part of this, the former hayloft was demolished down to the outer walls and painstakingly converted into a modern, open holiday apartment, the LichtRaum.

The property was designed so that it can also be used as a seminar room if needed.

The holiday apartment LichtRaum is accessible via the outdoor stairs. Below the LichtRaum are the horse stable and the saddle room.

Due to the open design, we have created a light-flooded space that is equipped with bamboo flooring and underfloor heating. A cozy couch and armchairs invite you to relax and unwind. 

The old rubble stone walls have been preserved, resulting in wide window sills that invite you to sit in their frames to read and dream.

WLAN and internet access via LAN cable are available. We have a fiber optic connection.

A TV and a music compact system are also part of the amenities. 

Two steps lead down to the open kitchen with an adjoining shower room that features a barrier-free shower.

Above the kitchen and the shower room is the gallery, which is also equipped with bamboo flooring and is accessible by stairs. The main room has a ceiling height of around 5 meters.

On the gallery, there are 2 double beds (1.60x2.00m) with oversized duvets (1.55x2.20m; 2 duvets/bed), additionally, the couch in the living area can be converted into a sofa bed (2.00x2.00m). Of course, appropriate duvets and bed linens are also available for this case.

A fireplace is integrated into the stairs to the gallery, complete with seating.

The kitchen is also equipped with a whisper-quiet dishwasher, a stove with oven, a kettle, a Senseo coffee machine, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. If needed, waffle irons, blenders, etc. can be provided.

The dining area is integrated into the kitchen, as it is famously coziest in the kitchen.

Our water comes from our own well. Additionally, the water is treated through a Grander water revitalization device, which ensures high-quality water for all residents.

Your gaze wanders over the meadows, where hares and hedgehogs say "good night," up to the edge of the forest or into our courtyard with our millstone fountain.

If you wish to vacation with your horse, this is possible upon consultation and at an additional cost. Our in-house riding arena (approximately 18 x 25 m), a pasture paddock with a shelter, and Eifel hay are available to you. The beautiful riding terrain with diverse opportunities awaits right at your doorstep.
