LE VERANDE

The home called "Le Verande" is located in the town center of Cogolo di Pejo and it overlooks the town hall square and the meadow in front of the Church. This home is more than one hundred years old: it is an authentic example of a home from the Habsburg period and it belongs to the Moreschini Family that has a long-standing history in the hospitality sector. In fact, half a century ago, this home was a hotel with a “trattoria” restaurant that was renowned for its excellent cuisine. Casa "Le Verande" can only be booked by groups, associations, parish groups or families with a minimum of 12 people. It has three floors, the family lives on the first floor while the second, third and ground floor are for guests: there are double, triple and multiple-bed rooms with bunk beds, wooden floors and a washbasin in the rooms, the shared washrooms have been recently renovated. Each floor is independent with a spacious kitchen, a kitchenette and - of course - a veranda. A telephone booth is located in the vicinity of the home. The home also has a TV system, convenient public parking and the bus stop is nearby. Today, the "Le Verande" Home has maintained its original features even if the various systems, amenities and the kitchens in the home have all been renovated. The philosophy behind this type of facility is to offer guests a more human approach to the way they might normally spend their vacation. The chance to stay in a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere with other guests, groups of families or friends in a simple yet cozy accommodation: this is the type of vacation that “Le Verande” offers its guests. In fact, this home does not have any of the latest technology, nor does it provide a telephone or TV in each room or any “turnkey” services but it does offer guests a new experience even when they are indoors, just like how it used to be in the past. For groups with more than 17 people that can stay in each single apartment, a dining area, a small hall, an equipped kitchen and two washrooms are also available for guests on the ground floor. And of course, the most important part of the home is its antique wooden verandas. These are cozy, friendly areas where guests can relax and admire the view of the surrounding peaks and glaciers, from the Vioz to the Punta San Matteo peaks to the north, all the way to the Presanella to the south and the green luscious woods that surround the town. On the ground floor there is a courtyard and a garden, that is meticulously taken care of by the family, which is located in front of the meadow of the parish Church where guests can take in the sun and let the little ones play far from traffic.
