Ferienwohnung Rootshof

Our Ponyhof is located on the outskirts of Heidenburg, a village between the Moselle and Hunsrück, about two kilometers south of the Leiwen-Trittenheim loop at an altitude of 400m. From here there are magnificent views over the Moselle valley into the Eifel, as well as in the Hunsrück, to the Idar and Erbeskopf and to the forests of the Hochwald. The beautiful sunsets over the Moselle valley are always fascinating and can be enjoyed around our campfire.
Our farm offers a wonderful holiday experience especially for families with children and for riding enthusiasts. In addition to the numerous excursions, e.g. In the nearby national park, on the Moselle, to historic cities like Bernkastel-Kues or Trier, we offer you the opportunity to take part in guided rides on our carefully trained and sure-footed Icelanders. Our program also includes pony rides for children or individual riding lessons.
