Welcome to our charming cozy nest!
Our newly and lovingly designed apartment (approx. 30 sqm) is located in the midst of greenery -
(but just 10 minutes from Gießen) in the idyllic Erlental in the municipality of Wettenberg (Wißmar).
Surrounded by forests and meadows, you can truly breathe here!
In about 10 minutes you can reach the university town of Gießen, and in about 20 minutes you’ll be in the beautiful old town of Marburg. There is so much culture and history to discover, as well as many lovely cafes and small shops.
In decorating the apartment, we placed great emphasis on a healthy indoor climate with clay plaster and stone wool insulation.
In the beautiful, bright, chalet-style living/dining area, you will find the fully equipped kitchen with induction stove, microwave, and dishwasher.
From there, you can reach the open, cozy sleeping area on the loft via a (space-saving) spiral staircase.
There, a heavenly, large double bed (1.80m x 2m) awaits you.
In the open living area, you will find entertainment with an HD TV with satellite connection, and of course, our free guest Wi-Fi is ready for you to log in.
Additionally, there is also a comfortable sofa bed for two people.
The tasteful, spacious daylight bathroom with rain shower and towel heater offers cozy comfort.
Comfortable warmth in winter and refreshing coolness in summer are provided by underfloor heating and additional room ventilation from a quiet ceiling fan (with remote control).
Upon your arrival, we welcome you with a basic supply of spices and household materials, the beds are ready for cuddling, allowing you to relax from the start…
Close by, our Wißmarer See and the nearby country inn with a cozy beer garden invite you to linger.
If you prefer a sporty atmosphere, the directly adjacent forest offers all possibilities for Nordic walking, hiking, or cycling (Lahn cycle path is about 1.5 km away).
Or simply explore the Lahn hiking trail just 800m away through the romantic Wißmarbach valley (Stage 09 Lollar - Rodheim Bieber), and then relax in the sauna paradise Wettenberg.
By the way, Gleiberg Castle is also located there, along with the Celts-Romans Path that runs through the Gleiberger Land. In the village itself, there are shopping opportunities, pharmacies, dentist, and doctor's practices. A bus stop is also within walking distance.
I would also like to mention that I have personal experience with gluten-free nutrition and am therefore aware of the corresponding hygiene measures. If necessary, I am happy to provide a separate toaster, cutting boards, etc.
There are plenty of parking options directly at the house - by the way, a separate building with its own entrance - and in nice weather, you can enjoy your breakfast on the small terrace.
