Independent outdoor shop & B&B specialising in barefoot shoes, just steps from Offa’s Dyke Path
**The Walking Hub is a place where walking, wellbeing and the Herefordshire countryside come together.** From our central spot in Kington, right on Offa’s Dyke and the Herefordshire Trail, we offer walkers and visitors a welcoming base to begin, end or simply pause on their journey. At the heart of The Walking Hub is our shop, thoughtfully curated with quality outdoor essentials and natural footwear chosen for comfort, durability and a lighter footprint on the planet. It is also home to *The Barefoot Shoe Box*, the UK’s first independent barefoot shoe shop. Here you can explore a wide range of minimalist shoes, try different styles and learn more about the benefits of natural movement. We take time and care to help each person find what’s right for them. Our B&B, set just above the shop, is a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Each room is prepared with attention to detail, while breakfasts feature organic, mainly plant-based ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. These small touches reflect our care for quality living and the landscapes around us, and many guests return year after year. At The Walking Hub, we believe walking should be simple, inspiring and accessible to all. Whether you are setting out on a long-distance trail, exploring the hills and valleys nearby, or simply curious about barefoot shoes, you’ll find thoughtful guidance, a warm welcome and a strong sense of purpose.
