Vumba is divided into 2 cosy guest houses (Casa do Alambique and Casa da Lagartixa) and 3 elegant suites (Bué Maria, Gorongosa and Beira). All guest houses have access to a large swimming pool surrounded by a lush garden. The property has several roads and trails, as well as five idyllic lagoons. Isolated from the outside world, here you will find the ideal combination of natural resources so you can enjoy nature and experience a truly rural lifestyle. Vumba is a small, family-owned business, involved in maintaining the traditions and memories of our grandparents and providing a highly professional and personalised service. We produce the organic cheese ‘Quinta do Carapinhal’ following ancient traditions and offer quality accommodation in a rural setting. 

SERVICES FOR BIKERS

We offer a full range of services for cyclists, meeting all the requirements of the bikotel network. Our guests have cycling routes available for various skill levels, secure outdoor parking for bikes, a washing area, an equipped mini-workshop, as well as a specific menu for cyclists and a laundry service for cycling clothes. We also offer bike hire, transport for cyclists, technical support, a guide service and charging options for e-bikes. At Vumba you have everything you need for an incredible cycle touring experience!

VUMBA TRAILS

Our trails cross a diverse and protected landscape, made up of woods and meadows, which is the favoured habitat of various species of animals and plants. Choose one of the routes on our beautifully illustrated map and explore our 140-hectare estate.

CYCLE ROUTES IN THE VICINITY

Within a 30-kilometre radius of Vumba, there are 73 mapped routes. This wide variety of routes covers easy, intermediate and specialised cycling and is suitable for all levels of fitness.

OTHER ACTIVITIES 

In addition to our trails and cycling routes in the surrounding area, on our farm you can also do various activities, depending on the time of year: Goat Safari, visit our cheese dairy, make your own cheese, be a Shepherd for a day, pick mushrooms, pick olives. You can also get some fresh eggs for your breakfast from the chicken coop, pick some organic vegetables from the garden or fresh fruit from the orchard (the price depends on the quantity) to use in your meals while you're at Vumba. There are also several places of interest nearby where you can do nature activities: Góis, Fraga daPena, Benfeita, Avô and Côja, Aldeia das Dez, Aldeias de Xisto, Foz d'Égua, Buçaco, Coimbra and Viseu. It also has a huge range of river beaches
