A stone’s throw from the main road, the Šeruga Farmhouse lies peacefully in a remote, green valley, surrounded by woods and forests and encircled by a bubbling stream.
The Šeruga valley is charming all year round: the scents of spring wind round a blossoming chestnut tree, summer days are cool in our woodland setting by the stream, autumn is the time of mellow fruitfulness and from the top of our warm stove you can dream a winter fairy tale.
Once a flour mill, now a welcoming retreat for nature lovers and those who appreciate home-made, local cuisine. The head of the family is Slavko; his hard work now ensures that guests can enjoy the delicious organic food, accompanied by the glass or two of an excellent cviček (typical rosé of the region). Lili and Eva are the heart and soul of the farm– their aim is to ensure that the food is as good as it possibly can be and they are only happy when it is the case. Rok and Nejc, younger sons, help whenever they can. Sometimes even Rena, the family’s golden retriever, joins in and presents you with a freshly-laid egg, stolen from the hens’nest.
Location

Directions
The easiest way to find us is to take the exit Kronovo. Turn right and than right again to Otočec. Leave the main road for the castle Otočec. Drive under the main road, turn left and then right to the castle. Cross the wooden bridge (pass the castle) and after the second bridge turn left. Drive straight on up to the main road and turn right. After 1 km you’ll get to the village Ratež. Drive till the end and then – just before the last building on your right turn right – you’ll see the direction Sela and our board too. Drive downhill (about 600m) and you are there.
If you’re coming from Novo mesto, take the direction Šentjernej through the villages Mali Slatnik and Petelinjek and you will come to Ratež (7 km from Novo mesto). Turn left immediately after the first building (a restaurant) to Sela and downhill to our farm.
