Salaterhof

In the beautiful Salzburger Land, in the Hohe Tauern region and in the middle of the mountain village of Embach – lies the Salaterhof. Here you will spend your holiday in a quiet, natural location far away from stress and hustle and bustle. Our traditional farm has existed for over 1000 years and is considered one of the oldest farms in Embach.

A genuine farm experience for the whole family awaits you at the Salaterhof. Families with children in particular feel at home with us, as there is so much to discover. Our cows and calves spend the summer on the alpine pasture. A special highlight for young animal lovers is our petting zoo. Here, ponies, alpacas, rabbits, ducks and sheep await curious guests. Experiencing animals up close, feeding and observing them makes a holiday with us something very special.

A total of 20 cozy rooms are available to you on our farm. In the morning we pamper you in our restaurant with a balanced breakfast and in the evening with a regional buffet. In the afternoon we treat you to cake and fruit. 

Connoisseurs also get their money's worth here. In our own farm shop you will find many homemade products from our own production – from sausages and cheese and spreads to schnapps. Regional, fresh and made with a lot of love.

In summer, the beautiful nature around Embach invites you to go hiking, cycling and taking excursions in the Hohe Tauern region. If you are looking for peace, nature and real relaxation, this is the place for you.

In winter, ski areas, winter hiking trails, tobogganing opportunities and the snowy landscape of the Salzburger Land await you – perfect for a relaxing winter holiday on the farm. For families, there is a ski lift directly in Embach - in January and March our guests can use it for free. The large ski areas such as Hochkönig, Gastein and Zell am See can be reached in just a few minutes by car.
