The Saar Alpaca Farm is located in the so-called "Almet”, a beautiful recreational area just outside Saarbrücken. Almost a hundred alpacas and llamas, three Bactrian camels, five donkeys, three dogs and two cats live here and are lovingly cared for by Rainer Frenkel and Christiane Groß.
In recent years, the Saar Alpaca Farm has become very popular in the Saarland region and draws many visitors keen on spending time with the animals and getting to know about alpacas. They can leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life on special Alpaca walking tours, exploring the Almet area and local forest at a leisurely pace and experiencing the healing effect of the gentle animals from the Andes.
